Spiritual Renewal

Everyone talks about 'the power of positive thinking', but few truly grasp how deep-rooted negative mindsets really are. In this day and age, people want quick fixes and surface-level clichés that sound promising, but ultimately lead to failure in one's spiritual journey.

Terra Kern's book 'The Children's Bread' is encouraging, yes, but even more than that, it allows the reader to truly examine their hearts and minds to tackle the root causes of the things they believe in the deepest recesses of their inner being. What's more, the reader can easily apply many life situations in this book to their own, and approach these hurts in a biblical, scripture-based and loving manner.

What I enjoyed about reading this book was that it outlines the reality of how powerful the mind is, particularly when processing hurtful and negative experiences. The message fills the reader with hope; the scriptures are poignant and relevant even today. By the time I was finished, I understood in a new way what God can do when we see ourselves as He does. This book is emotional, honest, and doesn't sugarcoat anything. I am certain I will be rereading this book to find healing and renewed hope in God as I navigate my life. Worth the read!
