The Empowered Author

Develop Your Platform

How do I get from having a finished manuscript to having a recognized author platform?  In this two-hour workshop, Author & Publisher Rebecca Benston will share secrets from her journey as a newbie author to an experienced publisher with over 50 authors and 120 titles in circulation.

In the first hour, we'll cover the writing part.  In the second, we'll explore the promotion part.  The focus will be on developing your author platform and finding creative ways to promote the book or books you've written.

Empowerment through Writing & Art

About the Program:

For the first hour, I discuss the reasons we write and why it is a valuable tool for working through stress or trauma.  We examine how to use our personal experiences to fuel our writing; whether it is for personal growth or with an intent to publish. We also discuss how to develop a platform from which the author can speak and promote their work. During the second hour, Artist Jen Hernandez will use art to tackle the topics of Changing Limiting Beliefs and exploring the 6 Components to our Whole Self.
