It is not easy talking to children about God. All of us have been asked simple and disarming questions by children who look to us for wisdom about life's greatest mystery. As a child my first personal encounters with God occurred during my nature walks in the forest. There I had my first of many spiritual experiences as I admired the beauty of the land and its animals. Many of the biblical prophets saw and heard God everywhere. God is all around us if only we, like the prophets, simply paid more attention.
