Step Three: Remind yourself

It's easy to forget to take the time to be grateful. This is especially true when everything is going well. If you find yourself forgetting to stop and say thanks, add some visual cues to help you remember. Post-it notes are great for this. Stick one on your nightstand with a note that says, "Give Thanks!" Add another to your bathroom mirror. Technology comes in handy for reminders, as well. Set an alarm on your phone so that you don’t leave the house or fall asleep without taking time to consider what makes you feel thankful. Just making the time to give praise to God and all that He does for you will make all the difference in the world.
