At Higher Ground Books & Media, we often talk about the three core pillars:
Healing from Trauma.
Using Your Gifts.
Growing Your Faith.
These are the themes that shape the work we do and the messages we hope to share.
Over the past several weeks, we’ve spent a lot of time focusing on the first two.
We’ve talked about hardship.
About healing.
About being shaped by what we’ve been through.
About learning how to use what God has placed within us.
But underneath all of that is the reason any of it matters in the first place:
Faith.
Because without faith, healing feels temporary.
Purpose feels uncertain.
And life’s challenges can begin to feel overwhelming.
Faith changes that.
Not because it removes hardship, but because it reminds us that we are not facing those hardships alone.
Knowing that God is with us matters.
Knowing that His plans are bigger than our understanding matters.
Knowing that even in the middle of confusion, grief, fear, or uncertainty, He is still working behind the scenes matters.
Faith gives us something steady to hold onto when everything else feels unstable.
And growing your faith doesn’t always happen through grand moments.
Sometimes it happens quietly.
Through prayer.
Through endurance.
Through learning to trust God one day at a time.
Through holding onto His promises even when life doesn’t make sense yet.
This week, we’re taking time to focus on that foundation.
We’ll be sharing some of our favorite Bible verses throughout the week—not as empty platitudes or surface-level encouragement, but as reminders of what is true.
God is still present.
Still faithful.
Still working.
And no matter what this world throws at us, we are never walking through it alone.
