Available for Pre-Order. The Passover seder combines both the religious and national aspects of Jewish identity. The seder meal celebrates the liberation of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery and has more rituals than any other Jewish ceremony meal. At the seder, participants are supposed to lean on pillows and recline in their chairs, in the style of free people of leisure. The Seder in the Desert Story is based on true events of the author's own dining chairs being sent out for reupholstering. Having been delayed, a clever uncle creates a tent seder where participants sit on their pillows in the family den covered with ceiling sheets to make the room look just like a tent. A special thank you to my wife Leora for her keen eye and editorial skills which helped shape this story.
